How to Install Backup Camera in a Chevy Cobalt or Pontiac G5
Epic Help shows you how to install a backup camera in a 2009 Chevy Cobalt. Portions of this video should assist you with any year Chevy Cobalt or Pontiac G5. This video shows the best path for your camera cable along with how to remove the backseat and center console armrest.
Here's a written description of the best path: The camera cable goes from the car stereo, down through the center console, under the carpet, along the power wire harness to the battery, which leads to the rear of the car. There's a hole with a rubber grommet next to the tail light that the camera cable runs through, then down and over to the license plate area.
