My motorcycle's handlebar is only made of metal. No plastic at all, just a hole in the middle like yours. How do I remove it?

Did you get a lot of vibration after you removed the bar end and replaced it with the end mirrors?

No not at all. That shouldn't cause any vibration.

+twoWheels Priest yes I have had them on there for a while now and they really do help. I kept my stock mirrors on as well. I bought a cheap pair of bar ends and one fell off the other day. I can definitely tell a difference without it. they come in handy

Does this effect lane splitting? Since its wider or you don't see much of a difference?

+Kai C It is illegal to lane split here in Arkansas, but yes it does add about 2-3 inches of width on each side. hope that helps!

So how much of a difference would u say between bar mirror and stock mirrors?

In my experience the bar ends provided a better view. It takes a little getting used to having to look down further than stock mirrors but because they are wider than stock you aren't going to be seeing your shoulders or elbows like with stock mirrors.

the bar end wont come out or the insert inside the handle? If you have an r6 like I do now the inserts don't come out. On the R6 I just took off the inserts that the bar ends come with and took the original bar end screw and used that. Does that help? if you cant get the bar end off it's probably stripped out.

Thanks! These are just a pair of knock offs I bought on Amazon.com for $12. Just wanted to test them out before spending a lot more on a better pair. That being said I had one that fell off while riding, and one that's worked great and still going strong a year later. And yeah man they should fit your 2014 R1. Ride safe!!

You can leave the insert the expander will go AROUND that insert and take up the slack that causes it to spin when tightening the mirror especially on the throttle side here you go kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4XRZ4KcrbKboqM

As long as you compress the expanders before you insert them there shouldn't be any problem. True, they need to be compressed enough that when they go in the catch enough to tighten them down.
