The spoil bar finished height is 1 5/16" tall and max width is 2 1/2" wide. Also the screws used to secure the bar rail to the sub top is 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" long max.

As a point of reference, when mitering the spoil bar needs to be 2 inches in height.

+J Marsh, ignore my previous post, 2 inches is correct. There is an additional 1/2" of material on the bottom rail lobe that I didn't account for when it's resting on the saw.

yes, normal 1x2 messed me up, had to order 3 more feet of bar rail to fix.

Will a 10 " miter blade (non sliding) be enough for the miter cut?

It would be close a 12" or slider works best.

how would you go about finishing a visible square end of this rail? im thinking a mitered return,if so how do i cut that? thanks

We recommend cutting the bar rail flush with the bar end and applying a piece of veneer to the subtop for a clean look, as shown here: goo.gl/3BjUZc
