How to Install Black BMW Badges | GLOSS BLACK EMBLEM INSTALL

In this video, I swapped out the chrome 340i badge on my car for a gloss black one. The black looks more sporty and I'm surprised BMW didn't offer these as an option on the F30 generation. In the video, I show how to safely remove the old badge (de-badge) and install the new one without losing the position.
A couple quick notes: 1 This would have been WAY easier if it were warm out. If you can, park in the sun on a hot day and the old badge will come off MUCH easier. 2 In the video I used dental floss which worked, but the back side of the badge kept cutting through the floss. Not a big deal and it will work in a pinch, but fishing line would have probably worked better.

I remove the 525i decals and simply painted them black, matt-black. Used Goop to stick'em back on. Been over a year and it's still lookin good.

You are outdoing every other youtuber in form of quality. For me atleast it's come to a point where the video quality is always so spot on and the only thing i want is that you upload more often. Many of the things you post about i already know how to do or I will never perform myself, but I watch every single video anyway because it's just great entertainment and calming to watch your videos. Make videos about what you feel like making videos of. Videos that you don't care about will never be as good as the ones you have interest in. And if you were to sell your BMW and buy another car brand or whatever I honestly wouldn't care because I watch the channel because you're a great guy that makes great videos no matter what it's about. I used a hair dryer and finger nails to get mine off and didn't leave any foam adhesive behind, a minimal hand polish and all traces where gone! Left it badgeless for a while as someone tried stealing the car, but then later added 335d badges in black for the stealth look 🙂

@@ibbehb.09 Yeah super easy, used dental floss to get the badges off, tar remover to remove the glue and then made sure before I started had masking tape around the badge so I stuck it in the same position. Hardest part is just taking time to remove the glue residue. All in all 30 minute job max

When I swapped my 335i chrome to gloss black I had to do one at time because of the spacing. I made a cardboard template to keep the original spaces and angles the same. Oh yeah, my fingers were jacked for several days too 😂

I once removed the xdrive logo on the trunk of my 2017 F30 with the use of a dental floss and something that removes glue residue. It worked well but the problem now is that some borders of the xdrive logo still can be seen on the trunk from certain angles in certain lightning conditions as if the logo was slightly burned in. How can I remove the borders ? Can it be polished off ? I heard it can be polished off professionally.

I would just cut the 340 seperate from the i and apply them seperately to create the space that should be there. That way u have less room for error than if you did each digit individually
