We installed these bolt chain adjusters / axle blocks on Dale’s Yamaha YZ250FX. This bike is amazing for trail riding, cruising, and much more. Watch the video to see how to install and set your chain tension on your dirt bike. Overall it is fairly simple and basically the same process for any dirt bike. This upgrade could easily be one our favorites to recommend for ease of use and style.

When there is no jam nut, what keeps the adjustment bolt from moving due to vibration etc...?

It is possible, but very unlikely. Even if one loosens, both sides would need to loosen for any major movement in the axle. This being said, it’s still absolutely possible. For that reason and many other reasons, it’s always a good idea to check torque on the most important bolts, oils, filters, and air pressure, actively during riding season.

These stupid things seized up in my swing arm and because of the design you can't get a socket around it, and the axle whole piece doesn't come off because it's stuck on, and the nut part is stripped. Seriously annoyed.

Interesting, and they’re made for your bike? We’ve never had an issue with them. You just have to make sure they’re equal

@@GenerationAerni yes to the correct ones and these things sieze up in swing arms all the time but the problem with this design is you can't get a socket around it.
