Only use a Registered Gas installer. This is all wrong. Only rigid pipework or gas coucil approved/complient rigid protected stainless steel salus hoses, should be used. Also a form of isolation ie a gascock. Here in the uk the GasSafe register is put in place for a reason. That appliance would need a tightness test. A gas rate carried out and ventilation requirements need to be checked. Your warranty is also void if you do a Diy install. Don't cut corners with Gas, It could be Fatal .

I agree I'm an electrician and have to fit electric ovens and install cooker plates regularly. A hose is dodgy. Copper with gas always.. flexi pipe for water fine. And my oven has a gas isolation valve behind. I noticed alot don't.
