The Cakewalk software should launch the web browser and all you have to do is login under your account. That will activate the software.

Hi Dan, thank you for your videos, especially how to install. I’m working with making some choir arrangements and I would like to record with my VST choir voices straight into an audio track mainly because of the way it works with the word builder. The words don’t stick with the clips. I tried an actual physical loop back, but it degraded the sound. I’ve heard about virtual loop backs. Can you tell me if I can set one up on cakewalk and may be kind of walking me through it. I have to admit your handle attracted me ha ha read all the volumes of Carlos Castaneda and his sorcerer teacher Don Juan!

That's a good question. I'm actually not sure. I had the paid version of Cakewalk Sonar before BandLab acquired them. All my existing Cakewalk plugins were grandfathered in.

The download doesn't take too long. Do you have fast internet? Also, If it seems like it's acting up you can always restart your computer and start over.

Hey there, when you launched Cakewalk it will want you to sign in. When that happens it will launch your web browser and you just sign in there.

I downloaded BandLab and I don't see the Cakewalk version, I just started and I can't understand anything. All the video tutorials show the same screen as yours, mine is completely different. I can't click on preferences from the Edit option since there is nothing in it. I'm feeling frustrated. Do you think the free trial is the reason of not having all the tools and the same screen?

They should be all the same. There is only one version of Cakewalk and it is free.

My bandlab assist never actually downloads cakewalk it goes straight to updating Bandlab with a green status bar stuck at halfway that never moves.

The short answer is yes. A USB microphone will work, but won't allow you to truly utilize the full potential of Cakewalk.

There not deleted. Just go to the views tab at the top to open them back up. If they are grayed out then you need to have some MIDI data in your project.

I have been using Cakewalk now for a couple of years. I still used it after I changed to Windows 10. But last night Cakewalk frose, and Would not start up again. Even after I restarted my computer it would not start up. So I tried to uninstall everything in cakewalk. Then I installed Bandlab Assistant again, When I try to upgrade bandlab assistant, it does not go further than 0/0. And if I try to install, it goes only to 3/3 and then I get a message saying "Cannot locate the folder" So I cant download and install Cakewalk anymore. Why? And I have all my recordings on a seperate hard drive. Now I can't use them anymore. Please help!!!!!
