That crab stretcher is awesome...as long as your tac strip is solid. Dont be cheap on tac strip..some of it's junk. Order it ahead time, bid job and once accepted get 1/2 labor and ALL material cost up front..definitely on large jobs. Sadly vids like this do run value down on trade yet enriches folks who are starting up. Great vid to the point.

If you're looking to learn about how to get your DYI project done, I'm not sure this is the best video.

Goods 1s yes..Any installer that was trained even remotely decent were taught a few things immediately..Clean work only shoes with white soles and The biggest things is when you cut yourself, which is going to happen if you do this for a living is get the "F" off the new carpet, then worry about the bleeding , which means unless you actually cut a finger off, grab the duct tape, pressure tape it and get back to work.

That's easily doable and then some if the store is busy enough and it's not a cheap shit store selling all stock carpet..2 guys can install 90 -125yds daily depending on a bunch of variables.. is their take up, furniture, does tackstrip need to be put down..going rate for good installers were I'm at is $5.50-.$8yd just to install..90yds @5.5 is almost 500 daily 2500 in 5 days installer is making 1500 helper 1000..Now add take up ..another 90×$1.50 $135 per day. Plus haul away another$150 on the week..installers can easily make 1500 at decent stores

@@snowrider5150 actually I do 23 years in the floor covering trade. I do things the right way and you cannot stretch carpet with a kicker. It merely jars the rug I’ve worked with many carpet installers over the years that made the claim I can stretch with a kicker. Let them kick it in then come back with a stretcher and cut off an inch and a half of rug at the wall where they just kicked it. Kickers are for moving seams, setting walls, installing stairs they have they’re use but they are not for stretching plain and simple
@oscars6366
