using hot metal rod to make hole will be better and more clean without plastic dust produced by the drill.

Are the plastic chips that are made by drilling ever a issue? Seems messy for printing.

nope, there is some hard cotton or whathever it's called inside that block some chip. messy print may be wrong the placing of the tank (it should not higher than cartridge).

I had done a CISS conversion for IP2770 back in 2013, when snapdeal was selling the printer for mere 1800 rupees as diwali promotion. I have printed tons of pages and photos so far. The cartriges dried out only recently, after 6 years, that too due to no use for a long time. So, long story short, yes, the conversion works well if done properly.

@@fairylights27 when you setup ciss, you don't have to take the cartridge out, unless the cartridge dries up. You just need to add ink to the ink tank outside to keep it going. Refills can kill a cartridge much faster in my opinion. So if you are willing to spend the time, effort and money to setup a ciss, by all means that's preferable over refilling. These days there are many affordable printers that come with ink tanks as well. You can just get one of those as well, if you want the benefits of a ciss but don't want the hassle.

+TJH Teknik Jaringan Handpone ~ halo pak, terimakasih atas komentarnya. Saya mencoba menjawab pertanyaan bapak sesuai pengalaman saya ya. Kalau masalah seperti itu biasanya ada tinta yg tercecer di bagian head printer, hal itu terjadi karena terlalu sering cleaning atau deep cleaning. Solusinya, ambil catridgenya lalu bersihkan sisa tinta yg ada disekitaran headnya dengan mengunakan air hangat jangan terlalu panas. Hati2 jangan sampai menyentuh bagian vital catridge. Untuk lebih jelasnya bapak bisa googling mengenai cara membersihkan catridge. Terimakasih..
