If you're on an AMD Graphics card you're more than likely going to be facing issues with black boxes and visual errors. To which I suggest using DGVoodoo2 and trying to find a config that works for you, and if you do find a working config please feel free to share it so others can use it! When I get into the game, for some reason no buttons work, I've tried keyboard buttons, and plugged in a controller and also didn't work. The only keys that work are like F1 for rebirth thing, and F2, F3 etc for speeds and the other F keys

Gog released an update and now it messes with this mod to where you can't use any buttons.

​@@Pokesatsu96 It would seem that I'm not having the same issue. Might I suggest uninstalling the game but then checking nothing is left over inside the game folder. Then reinstalling? And see if pressing F4 or F5 brings up the options menu

you can actually use classic Rebirth with all the mods and still use the shade and leave the screen stretched, when installing via GOG, install the Japanese version, copy everything from your classic Rebirth that you already had, as was the case in me and mine surprise, this new version has disappeared the glitches in the textures, the game is beautiful, in this case the original game creates a folder called SAVE, rename it to savegame otherwise the game crashes, if you can fix this comment I believe it will be useful.

I've heard the game got updated recently and there's been some issues for some people. All I can suggest is completely uninstalling the game, removing anything left in the folder. Reinstall it and then try again with the default binds.

Please help :). If I do exactly as description says, I always get the crash message "Couldnt find file /horr/jpn/voice/V101_00.wav at the start of the hall scene. Strange is, that real path of the V101_00.wav is actually in my Program files - GOG etc.. Any help please?

Hmm, not working for me at the moment, I've closed all programs I can think of and it starts to launch but closes immediately when the patch is applied. Japanese version selected, Nvidia card. If I find the fix I'll post it here.

Anyway you can give me an idea of what to do? I loaded the game up when I first bought it and it looked incredible it looked truly HD or more than I'm used to anyways and it wasn't registering my controller input to open the main menu so I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and now I can't get the graphics to look the way it did when I first opened the GOG version, it's like if the character models stayed nice but everything in the background turned into a PlayStation 1 graphic, I've tried everything from uninstalling and tweaking the settings on DirectX but nothing helps, I'm just trying to get it back to the way GOG had it the first time

Fraid I'm not too sure what the issue might be there. I can suggest uninstalling it again, making sure everything in the folder is deleted. Then install it again and install REBirth, as for your controller issues I suggest using a program like XInput or DS4 as GoG does not like picking up your controllers by default for some reason

For some reason, the game works fine until I install these files. Now the rendered textures look overly ghostly and have constant black textures trailer behind them.

Can you check under C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Resident Evil\JPN\Voice For if you have that file? I've not seen that file path in the GoG version so not really sure why it's called horr

@@TheDementedSalad Okay so these are my steps: Complete reinstall (english) -> Manage Installation -> Configure -> Language Japanese. Unpacked both from Rebirth. Put Biohazard file and the ddraw.dll to Re1 game folder. Replaced them. Still get the same error.
