Could you put a 1" heat shrink over the top of the trolling motor shaft and have extra leak proof protection? Make it look better too? Or even a 90 degree 3/4" pvc elbow?

Have you had any issues, with the cranking battery running down like this? Know there not being used that much. But with our Electronics these days. A battery will sure get drained.

I have not had any issues. I’ve had it like that for two years on my other boat.

If you don’t have power poles, can you attach the trolling motors to the back of your boat where the outboard is?

Yes. The easiest way is to drill holes in a flat piece of metal and attach it to your jack plate. Thats so they’re away from your motor a little.

Just watched this. Curious to why you are switching the negative and also why you chose to put the over current protection on the negative side. Seems backwards.

Great idea and an excellent video. I don’t have power poles, but if I did, I would have crappie brakes! With FFS which I do have, I just try not to run them over and stay 30 to 40 feet away. I love this idea though!

The next best invention since livescope in my opinion. I dropped my power poles at 92 mph and lost a brake. I got my new one 2 days later.

Is the wire on your foot switch 12 gauge or 10 gauge

I’ve got a 2006 tracker TX 175 I’ve got the baddest tracker boat in seven states 2 12 inch carbons with 3-d 2 point ones vessel view link and ghost with 360 active target 2 with Garmin 1222 livescope one power pole but I’m in the process of mounting trolling on the transom close to the motor because I was told if I put just one on the power pole it would not work right so wish me luck

One trolling motor on the back is fine. I had one go out and fished like that for months.

The same way it shows at 20:02 in this video. You would run your wires out at the dash instead of at the front.
