How to install DEKTITE flashings on metal roofs correctly part 1

what's best to prepare the metal roof sheets if you cant get the sheet over the top of a pole? I have 4 holding brackets holding my balcony roof to the plate of the main house. Would like to know the best way to install colorbond sheet around these brackets? (30mm diameter pole that come through the roof with a holding plate so cant go over the top) )

This is an event that calls for putting the penetration at a lap and installing a tray flashing. 1) Plan your roof lay to have the pole located 100mm or so inside the leading edge of the roof sheet. Cut the leading edge of the roof sheet to allow the sheet to be laid around the pole. 2) Do the same with the next roof sheet - this time cutting the slot/hole on the trailing edge of the roof sheet. 3) Install a small width tray flashing to cover the cut zone of the roof sheets and install a 'zip' type dektite flashing around the pole. Why not put a capillary cut behind the dektite in corro ?

Not a good idea to place a pipe (and Dektite) on a lap in a corrugated roof. The lap drainage system is different on a corrugated roof compared with a 'Kliplok' type roof. Any penetration on a lap on a corrugated roof should be 'trayed' and the Dektite installed on the tray.
