OpenShift is a platform from Redhat/IBM to run containerized applications. It is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) used for fast deployment of cloud applications, development workflows management, automates the installation, and enhances the DevOps process.
📌 OKD ⯮ is an open-source, community edition of Red Hat's OpenShift container management and orchestration platform based on Docker 🐋 and Kubernetes.
📌 OCP ⯮ OpenShif Container Platform, an enterprise edition, is a consistent hybrid cloud foundation for building and scaling containerized applications.

Excellent tutorial, I managed to do everything. Much appreciated. I would only need to be able to connect to the nodes of the Cluster, (master, worker to install a third-party monitoring system, but it does not work for me "The instance does not have a public IPv4 address To connect using the browser-based client for the EC2 instance connection, the instance must have a public IPv4 address. " Can you help me please.

To connect to the nodes of your cluster, you'll need to assign a public IPv4 address to your instances. Here's how you can do that: 1. Go to the Elastic IPs section under Network & Security in the EC2 Dashboard. 2. Click on Allocate Elastic IP address. 3. Once allocated, select the new Elastic IP and click on Actions > Associate Elastic IP address. 4. Associate the Elastic IP with your instance.

While OpenShift cluster is being provisioned it uses terraform file for cluster creation in backend. Where does this terraform is stored

Hi Hidayath, Hope you are doing good. When we setup a openshift cluster using Terraform, the terraform files will be stored inside the same Openshift directory as it stores the installer files usually. Thanks & Regards Sahid Team K21

Hello, I am trying to deploy the cluster on AWS but encountered this error "INFO Creating infrastructure resources... ERROR failed to fetch Cluster: failed to generate asset "Cluster": failure applying terraform for "cluster" stage: failed to create cluster: failed to apply Terraform: signal: killed" Any help on this?

Thank you very much for this wonderful video , could you please help me with one resolution ? when i modify the install-config.yaml. file and when i hit the create cluster command , the file disappears and throw me an error of quota of EC2 - saying requested quota is 8 and eligible is 5. i am damn sure about the replica which set to 1 . could you please help me with the resolution?

Hi Nirav, This is due to the less number of quota. You can either use a pay as you go account or try requesting quota increase. I tried this install and I am getting the "Platform Quota Check" error. I checked and reverified the verify and I definitely have us-east-2 choosen. Anyone know how I can resolve this error INFO Consuming Install Config from target directory WARNING Discarding the Kubeconfig Admin Client that was provided in the target directory because its dependencies are dirty and it needs to be regenerated FATAL failed to fetch Cluster: failed to fetch dependency of "Cluster": failed to generate asset "Platform Quota Check": error(MissingQuota): ec2/L-1216C47A is not available in us-east-2 because the required number of resources (12) is more than the limit of 5. @empyrean-sm4qx there's a limitation with your EC2 instance quota in the us-east-2 region. The cluster you're trying to create requires 24 resources, which exceeds the limit of 5 resources set by your quota.

@@K21Academy Man, docs are the first thing which i check. But as usual, reading the docs one have to get through many variables and crossways, filter info which is optional and crucial one to get to the point. The whole point of youtube videos is to see how this all works in practice - see the big picture and see the example setup which works. Thats how you can debug problems with your attempts. For example docs don't specify DNS server you can use, just settings. And i already see that most tutorials use bind9. Ive used dnsmasq on openwrt and already have some problems with it (like no A records when using dig). So probably its better to switch to bind9. So no, links for documentation arent helpful here.

INFO Creating infrastructure resources..." Can u suggest something.

Ensure that the AWS credentials used for creating the cluster have the necessary permissions and are correctly configured. Try # aws configure and try to give correct information required.
