We recommend shot blasting because it preps the surface better for our products. Shot blasting creates a very porous surface and ensures that any other product is removed so that our products can bond permanently to the concrete.

My whole house needs new flooring. Im just shock about the possible pricing of epoxy service cost. Seven years ago, I knew of (23 yr old) guy, who, painted his girlfriends bed room floor white, then they threw multi colored glitter sparkle over the wet paint then covered it with clear coat to keep the glitter from rubbing off. It literally looked like it was done by a professional.

Quick question, I have an epoxy flake garage I’m about to install with Leggari products. Can I shot blast without a big commercial vacuum and just give the space time to air out before the epoxy base coat?? I can rent a shot blaster through sunbelt rentals but not a vacuum

Does the highlight go on the base coat before the base coat hardens?

Yes! Applying highlights to a wet base coat allows for the colors to mix and a design to be made. For this reason we coat section by section rather than laying the whole base coat out over the entire floor and then applying highlights👍

Thanks! We used our clear metallic epoxy as a sealer for this floor. This helps to prevent outgassing and creates a surface for the epoxy base coat to bind to🔥

What is the purpose of spraying the alcohol? I've watched a few videos on your channel and went through the comments but didn't see anyone ask what it was for.

The first thing we spray is 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol; this creates cells in the design and disperses the epoxy. Once that evaporates, we spray denatured alcohol to pop micro bubbles. This allows us to avoid torching the epoxy.

I see almost always highlights with epoxy. Personally I think I prefer without highlights. I understand that without highlights, some imperfections might be more visible. Is there another reason to use highlights?
