@@popeye7833 you don't need to update the firmware if the current firmware supports the other components. You can check the release notes of each firmware to see if they do support each other.

To anyone who finds this nice video and can't get their remote controller 2 to connect to their pc. I had the same problem and this is how I got it to work. After it wouldn't work, I unplugged usb from the controller and turned the controller off. I then turned the controller back on before connecting the usb back to the controller. After doing that it works. I believe you have to make sure it's turned on before you connect usb.

When you installed DJI Virtual Flight it should have installed the drivers for the controller. If if did not the controller will not be detected. Maybe try a reinstall of the application. When you plug your controller in to the pc you should hear a chime to confirm that it detects the controller.

@@InfinityDrones Ok, I got it working by updating the remote controller 2 to the latest firmware. I'm glad because I definitely would have crashed my quad trying manual on the first go LOL. roll and yaw together behave completely opposite of what I'm used to in airplanes. TY for the vid! :)

So you you went throught the process of linking your controller to your goggles or pc? When you installed the application did you let it install the driver for the controller? If the controller is turned on and you start the application you should also have the ability to move the cursor with your mouse on the screen

I have the same problem. I'm using windows 11 though. I tried disconnecting the cable and connect it again. It worked sometimes but not every time. Even when it worked, when I turned off the flight simulator and turned it on again, the problem persist. Found a solution yet?

The Sim only lets you fly and the selection of fpvs as far as I now is not used. When you open the app for the first time it asks for dji fpv or avata mode.

You failed to mention that it does not work with all controllers. Does not recognize my brand new DJI RC PRO that I purchased with my DJI Mini 3 Pro. Here is my e-mail response to DJI Support - Thank you for your quick response. How ever I consider this to be a non-answer, The answer should be “We are currently in the process of revising/upgrading the Flight Simulator to work with your DJI RC Pro. I paid a lot of money to ensure I was buying the best drone on the market. Instead I am being told; no you purchased the wrong one; we don’t support it. Instead you are telling me to spend more money on a different controller if I want to use the simulator. The DJI Smart Controller can be found on line for a price between 600 to 900 dollars. My mistake was purchasing the wrong drone. I like it and will learn to use it without the ability to use the Flight Simulator. I will be looking for a different brand for my next drone purchase. Disappointing.

Sorry to hear man. But you do know that his simulator is for the DJI FPV Racer and Avata only - So your RC Pro was never going to work with it... This simulator is to learn how to fly in manual/acro mode which a mavic does not support at all (flips and rolls). I recommend getting a cheap controller and then using a simulator like Liftoff or Uncrashed to get into the whole FPV world.

@@thegadgetman2011 I think that is because you're phone and tablet are running the latest versions of Android... Sadly, when you update the software to the latest it takes 3rd parties like DJI etc a few months to catch up and update their apps for support (in some case they can't support). Thats why I always recommend to never update your software unless its really necessary
