Hey ken, I've been doing some exercises trying to develop my coordination and muscle memory. Then it started getting colder out and I remembered seeing this video a while ago. Came back to watch it today and decided to download it so I can keep my skills up when the weather is frightful outside. I'm trying to learn to be able to fly in a straight line while rotating the aircraft all the way around. So far it's extremely challenging... The “simulator” option that was in the Go app was NOT this. This is a very interesting separate program. But you have to pay a premium for all that inspection stuff and models. I am wondering what other controller they will support because they didn’t list anything older than a Phantom 4 and the M2 Enterprise wasn’t listed either.

On a Mac you could do the Windows 2nd partition install and have both operating systems. If I am not mistaken I do believe I saw videos of people using the remote with Mavic Pro remotes. So with a little tinkering you can run this as well.

That's right! If you install the free and included Mac program called "BootCamp" that comes with your system, you can then install any normal version of Windows. Bootcamp does all the hard work setting up your hardware and software to run Windows. And it's actually easier and faster to install Windows on your Mac than a PC! (FYI: Macs actually run Unix under the hood). However, Ken was right in saying that you need a higher end computer to run this baby. So just like on a PC, the better hardware - the better the performance. Good luck!

Hi Ken, I have a Mavic Pro and used the USB lead that came with my drone however when it connected to my PC it said it was charging. I then switched on my controller and it said connecting but then made this awful squeaking noise, I disconnected thinking I may dame the controller. What have I done wrong?

I used the simulator in March and I really enjoyed it, but for some reason it locked my controller up and I could not turn it off. Luckily I contacted DJI and they walked me through the process of fixing it. Great video Ken thanks for sharing. As always L.O.L.

@@BruceChristianson Sorry Bruce about the Late response. But I am using Parallels Wish I would have used Boot camp instead as I have all kinds of issues with Parallels. Love it need to use it more just have too much life to deal with to get to it. Hopefully soon when all the littoral dust settles Ill be back on it. Maybe do some Recordings. But its nice to see it works great on my 2015 5k iMac without any glitches (once I get past the off and on issues with Parallels. Mainly hooking up to my wifi)But seriously this works amazing with my Phantom 4 pro controller and the best part My drone can sit silently in a box and not need to be running to use the old hard to use built in Dimulator (sorry the old one made me feel dumb watching a tiny screen that was a depiction of where I would be standing and it going off into the distance not a simulation of what the drone sees)

Does not work with spark controller but you can use an Xbox controller with limited functions. If you are using an Xbox controller one thing to note is when you bring the analogue stick in to start up it doesn't always recognise the gesture. So us the keyboard if you need too. Keys are A,S,left arrow key and down arrow key all at the same time. Hope this helps

Hi Ken, I just bought a Quadair drone. Got it yesterday. It has no USB ports to hook into a computer. It appears that this software is proprietary to DJI. I had a spark controller and it didn't work so I bought a mini controller and that didn't work either. I also have a Mavik air 2. Then I found the list of controllers. Does your step to recognize a controller fix this so one of the controllers will work?

Any controller on the DJI.com list of compatible controllers will work with that patch.

How can I order the cable you spoke about, the one that came with my Drone/controller. Is there a model number for the P4 cable etc ?

Any data + power cable also works fine per my experience with the phantom controller and the DJI sim on Windows.

I had to do one more after running the driver.exe, in the same folder as the driver.exe down near the bottom is is a UE4PrereqSetup.exe that i stumbled across, after runnung that and waiting for windows to install and configure the "error008-..." finally gave way to a log-in screen.

Hello Ken and fellow dronies, I have been going the rounds lately with DJI. I have this simulator installed (version 2.1.0.3), when I launch now it requires an update to (2.2.0.0). Here's where it goes downhill. Windows Defender (I have also tested with McAfee and AVG) flags the downloaded file with 'Trojan:Win32/Zpevdo.B'. I have the same issue with a direct download from the DJI site, and the same issue on other machines. I see many other users with the same complaint on the forums. DJI has been completely unresponsive to the forum complaints. . Did you have any problems like this? Anyone? Thanks for another great video.
