How to install E-Sys & E-Sys Launcher for FREE! (Step by Step Guide)

@@PhenomHallz That‘s normal. I have a dedicated windows installation on an external SSD that is booted from USB. If you want to use bimmer coding and diagnostic software it is recommended to turn off antivirus and firewall. Otherwise you might run into issues when trying to connect to the car

@@zeeBMW question, whats the difference between versions? do they have the latest Module updates or just a different way to use it? i see newer versions but if this version has the latest updates i don't see the reason to mess with it! i had 6 updates on my Modules but i was scare to screw up so i just coded my FRM to learn how (bought a used unit) i guess my question is if the updates on this version are the latest for the car or the newer the version the newer updates as well? Having an issue with E-sys launching from the pro launcher, spent hours on it reinstalling and installing. Any tips? I’m from London so if you could do the FDL coding for me as I’m trying to retrofit the 8.8inch pronav I’d appreciate it.

You have to open it through the launcher as you won’t be able to edit or open cafd files 👍

Mine too. It was working before Java automatically updated itself now Vin is now greyed out. reinstalled and followed the installation again but no longer allows me to select Vin.

It should still work with a newer one, it could be that it’s corrupted, did you try another psdzdata file after this issue?

Those two times the screen goes black is because a dialog box comes up and I click yes, this is to allow admin access for esys

Thanks for the informative videos, i have subscribed your channel today. I am in the process of upgrading my F31 LCI 330d xdrive which was the basic car without any options. It had the entry level HU with no satnav. I have almost done 90% of the hardware changes, some are cosmetic like both front and rear msport bumpers ect. Inside i have changed the whole interior with all 4 heated seats and m sport heated steering wheel with the cloum switches, HDU, 6wa digital instrument cluster which supports HUD, rain sensor installed, with rear view mirror withe front camera to support automatic automotive head light dip etc. I will be doing all the codings for these ... My question is can use a business satnav which i have bought off ebay or do i need a NBT or higher Evo satnav to get everything working. Please guide which one should i buy. Secondly how to get my VIN recorded to the used Satnav bought off ebay. Your help would be highly appreciated, i live in Neston, near Chester. TIA Imtiaz

Hi Imtiaz, sorry for taking ages to get back to you, it is preferable that you get the NBT Evo Headunit as you won’t need to get an MMI box to activate CarPlay, yes you would need to get a wiring loom conversion kit but this is a small price to pay for CarPlay without 3rd party accessories. I hope you the best with your modding adventures!

I do have one question, I saw that there are a lot of different versions of the Esys and pszddata files on the internet, do these matter or are they all the same? I coded a F33 (2014) and a G30 2017 without any issues but i’m scared of bricking the ECU’s

It is recommended using the latest psdz data you can find, the E-Sys version uploaded is suitable for the g series chassis but won’t be for future chassis. Unfortunately, this is the only version that’s cracked and allows free use…

@@zeeBMW I have the same issue... but it took me a while to fix it. The source of the problem is - that you start the e-sys with the e-sys shortcut but you SHOULD start it by opening e-sys launcher PRO instead, that's all :)

This is not a virus, it’s a false positive due to e-sys not being a common application that would be installed
