Hi everyone, I’ve noticed some negative reviews about the eco fuel saver, and I wanted to share my personal experience and offer a different perspective. A lot of people might not see a noticeable difference, but I believe that’s because the product’s true effectiveness is best observed over the entire course of a full tank, from full to empty. For example, I typically get around 400 miles out of a tank of gas (19.5 gallons). Using the eco fuel saver, I expect to gain about 60 extra miles per tank-around a 15% increase. However, this difference can be subtle if you don't drive your car down to empty. In my case, I may only see around 45 extra miles if I haven’t drained the tank completely. I understand why some people might not notice a dramatic difference, but I believe it’s important to take this into account before making a judgment. I bought the same "fuel saver" 3 units and after a day of driving I ended up having a check engine on my dodge caravan, and my pontiac g6 steering wheel went haywire. Good thing it's still winter, I haven't installed the third one yet to my brand new 2022 camaro. I couldn't imagine what it would do to her engine. I shouldn't have trusted the online reviews on amazon and youtubers such as this video who does not even try doing it on a tester. Blinking lights does not mean it's working. Lesson learned at the cost of my 2 vehicles. Good thing I have a friend who troubleshoots car electronics. Sorry!

It's nothing more then a chip programmed to randomly flash the LEDs. There is literally no product on the market you can plug into any car that automatically "reprograms" the engine to either save fuel or produce more power. The only product that could possibly do this is some kind of processor intercepting the lambda sensor to tell the ECU it's running richer then it is and even then the ECU may figure out the engine runs poorly when it doesn't run "rich" and may eventually set the trim right back to where it would have been. If you want to tune the engine then your only option is to goto a professional chip tuner who will change the Maps based on your car model and then test to see if the engine is still smooth and stable. Personally though for fuel economy I really don't think it's even worth getting your chip tuned... If you want performance go for it but if you've bought an eco car chances are a chip tune will only give a marginal improvement which will barely cover the cost of paying a professional tuner. Personally I think the biggest fuel savings can be made by closely monitoring yourself, the driver. I have a Toyota Aygo and when I first passed my test and started driving I was getting around 50mpg, no where near the claimed 65mpg. I decided to try changing my driving to be more efficient and now I'm getting 70-80mpg. I did also buy a Bluetooth OBDlink which connects to the torque app to give instant readouts of things like fuel economy (instant, trip and overall average) and engine load. Tbh it's pretty great if you want a custom dashboard. I also have it set to monitor battery/alternator voltage and coolant and intake temperatures. Plus you get instant readouts if your engine management light comes on while you're driving so you know exactly what the issue is without even having to stop (it's only happened once but it was quite calming instantly knowing it was a post Cat lambda sensor, I'd just fitted a new exhaust and the issue was it needed some exhaust sealant on the joint)

I used an ECO chip on my 2009 Chev equinox (3.6) and picked up about 20% on three 2100 mile highway trips with no problems, no check engine lights I doubt many of the other responders never tried one and just post nonsense and negativity because they have nothing better to do. I tested them. They work for me..I was a state licensed mechanic

I left mine in until the device died a month later. Actually (see my long post above). I tested it on the road three different times driving 2100 miles of freeway each time and had great results. I tracked it on my car trip/speed/miles and on two different ECO devices picked up about 20% improvements but each died after about a month.. never had any check engine lights or roadability issues.. :-). Not sure why they don’t work:-). They worked for me

You can actually put on your ignition without cranking your car. Simply press on the push button start without matching of the break pedal, the ignition will turn on and the car won't start. Cheers🥂

Most legit performance chips that work usually have injectors and pump specifications that come with it. Usually have to be purchased along with a specific mass airflow/map senor because, not all sensors are remappable. I just have a hard time believing that it does anything without there being upgrades in hardware. Your fuel pump moves a specific volume of fuel to a specific size injector that gets an air to fuel ratio from the sensors.

All of the honest reviews say that it will turn on the check engine light very soon after install. The fuel delivery map cannot repair itself, once it is altered the dealer will love selling you a new ECM box. Don't do it, it will seriously screw up your car.

I have one on my car. Before mileage average was 30 mpg. After 3 weeks, several months now, mileage is 40 to 60 mpg. It needs time to adjust to your vehicle. It plugs in under the dash. I needed no tools to install it.

It can’t possibly save fuel...it’s just an LED. It only drains the battery. If fuel efficiency is altered it’s probably down to driving conditions, i.e. the car will use more juice in winter, stop - starts in heavy traffic etc.

Why does he state "it really works" when he did nothing more than just install it? Some of us people actually know how automotive ECMs function and understand feedback loops. The auto manufacturers design the system to work it's best for fuel mileage and performance. Anyone can interface the system and change parameters for more power or better economy but you're not going to get both! And this stupid thing is certainly not going to change anything since it's nothing more than a light show. I notice no one has a video posted showing the test results of improved mileage. What I did notice is that the manufacturer of Effuel states that the inventor is a NASCAR mechanic in one ad and 3 Japanese engineers in another ad. But so many people will believe anything they hear without researching it. That's fine because that's what help stir our world economy! As an example, I have a friend who bought a Glock 44, a fantastic pistol, along with 600 rounds. Someone, not the gun store, not a firearms expert, not the manufacturer......told her shooting lead bullets through it will void the warranty! So she sold the ammo at a loss and will also do so with the pistol. Some people believe whatever they hear.
