Thank you for the video. I have the same old style thermostat you show in your video. My source is a heatpump with heat strips located on the air handler. Will the emergency heat strips still work or do I have to buy a different digital thermostat than the one you installed for that function to work?

There’s no place for the blue wire one the new thermostat …. What should be bone with the wire?

Thank you for watching. Yeah the wires can be confusing as the wring can vary depending on what type of furnace and air conditioning you have. According to the instructions the blue wire should connect to the C terminal in the thermostat. Good Luck.

Did you figure this out? I have the same situation my old blue wire was connected to a C terminal for common, but my new thermostat does not have a C terminal. My guess would be that blue common wire goes to the O terminal now, but it could also go to the B terminal.. hope I guess correct.
