If the clips were put back and no wires were pulled hard but steering wheel controllers don’t light up or work would you know what would be wrong with the steering wheel?

Did the install, but to make the car go straight, I have to hold the wheel at a slight angle. Am I one tooth of fon the spine, or did I move the clock spring while installing (not sure if that matters)

Unfortunately this is a common result of a steering wheel swap. OEM wheels do not specify a "top center" alignment of the splines on the steering wheel and the final alignment is always controlled by the full alignment service at the factory. Due to the high spline count, most people don't see this issue and usually are very close, but occasionally if the OEM wheel is a at the farthest point possible it will need an alignment to be corrected.

great vid. quick question, when reinstalling the steering wheel, how much pressure do you put to ensure it sits on the column the way it is supposed to? Should it be as deep so the column and steering wheel splines are flush or there will be some depth left and after the install, I will still see the steering wheel splines that sit above the column?

The wheel will bottom out on the splines and once torqued down it will not move. Hope this helps

@@factionfab5834 So no insane pressure to bottom out the wheel, correct? just use hands to press the wheel on the column and it will slide in to the lowest point correct?

I have a 2017 Wrx and I am buying a 2015 sti, will the steering wheel I bought from you guys be able to transfer over?

Yep! The same wheel is used on both models, so you will be able to swap it. I would make sure to keep the controls and buttons in the original car and not swap those, Subaru is known to change pinouts and things for no reason.

Is it OK if there's only one airbag connector?

I am not aware of any situations where this would be normal and I would highly recommend doing some research. Feel free to email us at [e-mail] with a picture of your airbag so we can see exactly what your setup looks like.

my airbag light came on after, any fixes?

Disconnect the battery, then remove the airbag again and double check that all 3 air bag wiring connectors (Orange, black, green wire spade connector) are connected and fully seated. If the problem persists, we recommend taking it to a certified mechanic.

If the steering wheel is installed correctly you should not need an alignment after.

The inner casting on the FactionFab wheel is designed to be the same as the OEM wheel, which includes mounting points for all wheel models, including the CVT with paddle shifters. We have not shown this in our video as it is not the most popular choice, however all OEM options will bolt on.

Unfortunately this is NOT a direct fitment on the 2014+ Forester. It has been done by others and is possible, but proceed at your own risk if attempting to do so.

Just make sure that the battery is disconnected and you should be fine. It's definitely smart to take airbags seriously, but it's nothing to be scared about!

Unfortunately the 04-07 wheels have some extra complications that make it more difficult to produce which prevented us from making those in the past. We've had a lot of request for them recently though and will be looking into it again!

Unfortunately we have not done any testing on the base model imprezas and can not confirm fitment, though there is often cross compatibility depending on the model year.
