How to Install G-Stream Spec Racing C5 Corvette Carbon Fiber Spoiler

Hopefully some of you get the joke of the thumbnail lol. I wanted to put something on the back of the car to balance out the looks of the giant cowl hood covering the LSA supercharger up front. I think this fits the bill just great if you are into more of a sinister kick some ass look and less of a show car look. Paid for out of pocket. I don't get free stuff on this channel.

@@ChefofWar33 I can't really say at this time. I did get stuck in a huge rain storm last year going 60 plus and I was blown away at how high that blade was picking up the water from behind the car and throwing it way up in the air behind us. I would love to get a video of that some day.

I'm getting the itch to do something, I like this spoiler and I just watch your video again and I do have one question. I know you haven't got many miles on it cuz you been rebuilding your engine but from the outermost mount to the outer edge of the wing it looks to be like a foot give or take, do you think there's going to be any movement in the spoiler where it's going to flutter back and forth a little bit when you're going 100 and perhaps scratch the paint or cause any wear marks, or is the spoiler rigid enough to not oscillate?

Hey Toys. The long short of it is no it can't or doesn't flutter. The way the brackets are cut and the blade shape is the blade is locked from going in a rearward direction on the bumper cover. You can lift it off the bumper cover by pulling it forwards. In theory it will probably scuff the paint over time. Afterall it is just a solid piece of carbon fiber laying directly on the paint. It goes without saying though. This spoiler is 100% made to be functional. They don't care about the paint on a race car lol.

How much does it stick above the bumper cover?

The physical vertical height as in how much would block your view would be 2.5 inches. The actual blade length is probably closer to 4 inches laid back. Hope that makes sense?

At first I thought...Nah! When I saw the finished product, it was like WOW! That looks really good! Good job! The only thing I would have done different is I would have gone with black screws and not those chrome or stainless ones. That's just me. Other than that, thumbs up from me Bro! Your 'Vette looks and sounds great! Just food for thought...when you get a chance, look into some HALO's for your tail lights... They are one hell of a mod for the C5...Trust me. Stay safe... I like the Black screws idea Rico! I may have to look for a package of them. I wouldn't mind getting some Halos but I am a cheapskate depending on the product. I have a hard time spending 200 plus dollars for something I know is fully made in China. The current LED tail light housings I am using now I know are made in China but they are priced accordingly at 13 dollars each because they didn't come with the Corvette Tax applied lol. All in good fun.
