It's not possible without custom recovery, but first you need decrypt your phone before flashing, if u don't do that some error can affect you device like bootloop or dead.

Hey can you make a video on vanilla rom vs gapps rom ultimate battery and performance test. As I tested both rom I got good performance on gapps build rom (evolution x) than vanilla build rom.
