you can turn off the feature for automatically launching the app as soon as you open your laptop

That is no longer the way. The newest version prevents you from running the file after download. It says you have to go into settings to disabled the recommended settings for Microsoft Edge. I don’t see in the settings how to disabled recommended files to be downloaded from the Windows store only. I do not see how to bypass this and it’s pretty annoying . I am a few steps away from returning all the new laptops I got and go with Chrome Book or Apple Mac Book air or pro

Your Labtop is in s mode I had the same problem Go to settings Go to system Find activation tab click that There should be two boxes one that says activation state and the one below it Click the one below it There should be a prompt to go to the Microsoft store click that It should take you to a tab that says get out of s mode click that You should be able to download crome after that It will take you out of the windows 10/11 pro and you will need to buy it if you want it again or there should be a key in the box it came in I don't know what windows 10/11 pro actually dose so I don't need it

Chrome application is heavy of late...check how much ram you use on chrome browser on your task manager
