What is the best way to tack down outdoor carpet onto a wooden porch?

Hi, I would like to know if I can lay indoor outdoor carpet on top of dirt that has been covered with a weed barrier. Or should I be putting it on a raised platform from the ground?? ( I do not want to lay artificial grass ) I'm also looking for the least expensive way to go, as I really do not have any budget to work with. Thank you, in advance. 😊

So you don't have to remove the old carpet glue first?
@DavidVanHelden12 жыл бұрын
Maybe securing the step 1st so it doesn't move would have been a good idea.....

Nice video, I wondering how you did the outside corners to make them join together smoothly?

That's why he didn't show it ,he's a hack!!! Theres glued you can buy there expensive. Hot glue them together also! I sew them and dry fit before glue. But this guy does rental and flips so he's never learned to do it the right way!!

You cut those at an angle to make the seam not noticeable so that the flap folds around the corner and the end result is a sweet corner not a square cut.

I am installing a 10x14 gazebo om my concrete pool deck. I want to put down a big piece 12x9 of indoor outdoor carpet from Lowes. I do NOT want to use glue! I thought about using aluminum trim but they have so many holes! I dont mind drilling a few tapcon screw holes in my concrete but i dont want a screw every 9 or 10 inches like those aluminum trim pieces have. Any other ideas? Or how many feet between screws do you think would be sufficient? Thanks

You conveniently left out all the (need to know) info. How to cut corners, cutting in against the house wall, and tricks of the trade. Know I know exactly what I already knew. Yabadabadoo.
