Awesome tape trick! I was about to use pliers I was getting so pissed. The door bulbs are kind of stubborn. Tape worked like a charm.

We will keep an eye our for the 2002-2005 Explorer out here in Los Angeles. However, the installation process is virtually the same for all vehicles. The halogen bulbs are very easy to access with our trim took kit, which comes complimentary with all of our interior LED packages. I would recommend having a watch on some of our other DIY videos, and you will gain a general knowledge of how LEDs are installed. Yes, that is correct, the installation process shown in the video, and the kit in the description, is compatible with your Q40.

Some procedure might be different for 2014 q50 but I'm after the sizes of bulb to order. Are all the same size and wattage?

Yes, the 2014 would use the same bulbs shown in the video. The map, dome, door, trunk, and license plate would use the T10 bulb, the vanity mirror would use a 29mm bulb, and the reverse would use a T10 10SMD.

The light you are referring to would be stock LED, which you cannot swap as it is soldered to a chip and board.

It sounds like you might have blown a fuse, in which case you would just need to replace the fuse and you'll be good to go!
