How did you hook up the kickstand sensor to your new bracket? I could'nt find a spot for it unless I missed it. I temporally zip tied it. Any ideas or did you go without it also? Thanks your video was very helpful. Rick

Just curious, does this affect the performance of the bike? For example, top speed is about 53mph if the wire is cut, does it lose overall speed? Also, I heard that it's much much louds with this chain, and because of that, some people have recommended just putting the pedals on with no chain 😂to "clown pedal". Curious on your thoughts.

Compliance can save money, but cause lots of practical problems for the bike and riding it. Short crank arms is a good idea, knowing pedaling efficiency is unnecessary. Short will further help on technical trails where pegs are preferred to avoid pedal strikes. I would take this design a step further and add a crank shaft lock feature. Fantasy best case: can be turned on or off without tools while riding. Perhaps a cable or solenoid actuated pin with a handlebar actuator lever/switch. It looks like the kickstand plate (left) has unused 2 holes that could be used to mount a design for the purpose of locking cranks from rotating. For off road use, an important design consideration would be what are the effects of damage to the pedaling drive sprocket and crankshaft surface (i.e. if it is desired to disassemble the shaft from the bearings ). It is hard for me to see be certain of the exposure of the crankshaft, but I suspect rocks will hit it from the bottom. Any burrs imparted from rocks will prevent shaft removal because of small diametric clearance and will need to be ground flat. Perhaps you could add a few pieces of PVC pipe concentric to the outside diameter of the shaft. These would be cheap, light, and easy to install during initial assembly. An even better solution that would protect the crankshaft, driver sprocket and ratcheting assembly (i.e. these are the lowest point to ground) with a skid plate attached to the left and right side plates. 6:02 Interesting: a did you say "pedal assist sensor"? I see it has a toothed ring for a hall effect sensor(?) to eliminate a throttle? I'm willing to bet that these cranks will get bent from off road use or crashes because they are weak and cheap quality. It will be important to have a spare set to prevent downtime. 7:12 A view of the side plate bolts reveals it may be possible to add locknuts to the bolts to prevent loosening. the belt drive pulley may obstruct doing so if there is no enough clearance, but these nuts would enhance off road use reliability. At least this probably Made in China (suicide for USA) crap can be replaced if the spare parts are available www.kaniwaba.com/spare-parts

@@TheCrazyRomanian I don't think you will regret it, this lady in Ontario was nailed by OPP with No license x2, no insurance ($5,000 fine) no permit, no front light, no rear light, no signals, no pedals, modified speed. Definitely regret buying the v2 pedal kit it uses bolts to hold it together and they bend, complete junk, so I have ordered v3 for another $300 because I also live in Ontario

yea you can, as long as it got pedals its an e bike (thats what police think) but according to law youll have to be at speeds of 28mph at max to be classified as an e bike

You leave a lot of gaps in the explanation of the installation tutorial and those gaps will confuse people

When you're installing the chain you don't actually show how you install it You just skip that part of the video segment and all of a sudden the chain is just attached with the master link I'm looking for a video to help me install this part that I bought from this company and your video tutorial is horrible All because of a couple little gaps in the video that don't explain everything thoroughly

Dude If you need instructions on how to close or open a master link for a chain , maybe you should not attempt this install .. I can't cover in my videos simple things like how to use a hammer
