This works, but for those who find it hard to go through all those steps, simply download the Yatse app from the Play Store. It works without having to configure anything on your Kodi or on the app itself. -- By the way, I have been using the Yatse app on my Samsung phone for Kodi installed on Amazon Fire Stick.

did you have any problems with kore? mine is working for a few minutes and after that period of time the addons stop working, just keeps loading then i have to close it and open it again to work properly

Hi, I have a small issue, the only way Kore finds Kodi is when media center is connected to the router by wire (Lan), when it is on WiFi, Kore just cant find it(manual setting of IP adress and port doesnt work either), where do you think is a problem?

for those of you having problems make sure you have the user name kodi in the kodi and the password also make sure your wifi on your phone is on

Hi. after putting the media center name, IP address, port number (which I am using 8080), and kodi as the username, leaving the two checkboxes checked below under advanced configuration, it still won't add it. HELP!

Firestick: go settings, device, about, network, use this ip address not the one in kodi (as suggested in this youtube video) when manually inputting into kore.

Won't connect to windows machines at all, even with Bonjour installed. It only works with a raspberry pi with libreelec (that I've tried). Manual configuration doesn't work either.

It didnt work for me eithet so i went to in kodi under System, then settings, scroll down to services, then go to webserver, make sure Allow control of kodi via HTTP, use port settings and username listed to get it to connect...

Suze Go back to Services menu. Make sure "Allow remote control via HTTP" is highlighted. Go down to username/password and set both as "kodi". Then redo the steps on the video. Should work after that.

Actually, it didn't work for me either using the exact settings stated here to connect to my laptop which has kodi on it (Linux). There are no suggestions for what to do with the tcp or mac info with Kore in this video. In any case, still doesn't work following this correctly. Your reply here is a dick move.
