If you are like me and mess up and don't order the wire harness kit. I just cut the wire connecter off the original turn signal and used that with the new lights. I soldered the black to black and the yellow to the brown wire to make it work correctly. Hope this helps if you didn't buy the pigtail.

If we get one in-house again, sure but the process is almost identical. Instead of removing a signal shroud cover, you just need to remove two bolts. the rest of the process is the same.

I got the lights but didn't get the converter, so I need to splice them. Which wires from the harness are ground & positive?

On Yamaha bikes the ground will be the same black color on both sides but the positive signal lead will be green on right side and brown on the left. If you own an American model then there will be a blue wire on each side also, and that is a running light circuit, which is not used if you have single circuit signal lamps going in. -BR

I have a cbr650f and when I bought my low profile turn signals I also ordered the running mate and I can't find a video on it to describe how to hook them up bc on side has 2 wires and the other has 3 and I don't know where to hook the 3 wire side

Just an FYI for anyone installing these- those plastic fasteners that this guy glosses over; the Phillips rivets or whatever Yamaha cheaped out on, took me an hour to get out. Only one unscrewed properly. The other three I had to pry, pry some more, and then pry even more, then even more; and then cut and pry even more to get out makes this 15 minute job a 90 minute one. It’s quite clear that this shroud and these Philips rivets/fasteners had been removed prior to this video because there is a zip tie under that shroud holding the connector on. In the video it had already been cut. This tells me that he had ALREADY wrestled with these and had new ones on deck and in his hands that he used to make it look like they “came right out”. You WILL scratch and mar the backside of the shroud. Someone should create an alternative fastener because these were made to go in and stay in. Not to ever be removed. This guy knows EXACTLY what I’m talking about.

I can guarantee you we did not swap out any fasteners for this install video. It should go without saying that of course we did perform the installation before filming as that is part of the R&D process to see what fits and what doesn't but that's about it. We have worked on countless bikes in the 15 years we've been in business, and have dealt with all sorts of fasteners. This one was no different from anything we had seen previously. Since every bike does have variations on how they're assembled is it too far off to think that from time to time the fasteners can be defective or slightly unrefined?
