My Mac Pro 1,1 logic board crapped out on me recently so I’m going to swap in a 3,1 logic board as an upgrade. It will be cool to bring this old Mac Pro up to far more recent software.

Interesting, how did you think of this? The mac pro is actually the only kind of intel mac that is made to be "improved". Can it sustain the upgrade on the long run? You said that in a future you consider switching to SSD HD , so on this trial, you are using old HDD? do it not slow the entire process? I have one sitting around and I'm thinking about going through with it, how is it holding on , 3 months later? Cheers

my 3.1 spec 2x 3.2 quad core xeon, now only 1 quad 4 cpu after patch...

Theres no support for dual processors anymore.
