I have a 2016 I tried downloading Mac OS Sonoma but it won’t work it just takes me back to the recovery mode is there any way I can fix that or is there something I’m doing wrong???

When you boot from usb stick select efi boot and boot from mac os sonoma install and proceed all routines for install OS

Still can’t download it to my MacBook Pro 2012 got an error for some reason when loaded after chose from booting

If by download you mean install it, try a different USB key. SanDisk and Samsung and Adata Pro and some Kingston’s seem to work the best for me over the years. 💯 Another tip I can offer for your computer that can fix a lot of things is to change your SATA ribbon cable to a new one. Especially if it’s never been changed. This is common with 2008-2012. Hope this helps you my friend. 🙏

If anything it’s running cooler now and I haven’t hear me the fan rev up even nearly as much. On another note Arctic MX-6 is new and next level for these computers. That and a full interior cleaning is likely the best thing you can do for any older Mac for cooling and to extend the life span of the machine as a whole. 💯 amzn.to/3SSlnVw I’ve used it on 7 MacBooks so far. 5 Pro and 2 Air. All 7 are running with noticeably lower CPU and GPU temps idling and under load in comparison to prior. Fan comes on way less on a few of them as well.

Did this on my older 2012 macbook pro on ventura, 2013 iMac on sonoma and my 2017 macbook pro a1708 on sonoma. They are all very fast and stable, especially since both the 2012 mbp and my 2013 iMac have been upgraded to an SSD. I was able to carefully open up my 2013 iMac and give it an SSD and now its blazing fast on sonoma These machines can handle the latest macOS but apple chooses not to support them, leading to some of these old macs to sadly become e waste even though they are very usable

Couldn’t agree more my friend. SSD and OCLP can make an older Mac surprisingly fast. 2012 MBP is one of my favourites. I only have a bit of experience with Sonoma so far, but on all the OCLP installs I’ve done using it, it is in my opinion the most stable OCLP install to date with the ones I’ve done. OCLP just keeps getting better and better and I give my hat off to the developers for not only creating and sharing it with the world, but continuing to perfect it. 🔥🙏💯 Have you ever changed your SATA cable in your 2012? If you ever notice any lag or glitching, that could be a likely cause in my experience with those computers. Yeah when did you actually shoot this video?.. Post was just 5 days ago..I thought latest OCLP was into 1.x now..yeah just checked.. 1.2.1 now.. I was looking for a way to load OCLP as like an update and not from scratch..

Yes, you will be able to following this method. Yes it will my friend. Especially with the newest version of OCLP. It will be smooth too. I think you can run Sonoma as well if you like. Should turn out nicely. Yep. It’s smooth even on sonoma with 4gb of ram. Just needed to upgrade ssd as i was running out of storage (due to my apps i have installed)

You should be ok my friend. A good tip I can offer is load up the newest macOS that your computer supports first and use that to create the installed key. What year and model Mac computer do you have? I’m going to try and make a new version of this tutorial for Sonoma using a different Apple Computer soon. 🙏

I just had that exact computer (Early 2015 13" MacBook Pro i5 8GB) in my workshop a few days ago but I am getting a 2015 MacBook Air with i5 CPU on Friday so the setup will be the same. I'll make a video on how to install OCLP from begging to end for you using that machine my friend. 🙏
