i’m sure you know what you’re doing. but the video is just a series of close-ups with no way to see the big picture. so i couldn’t use this video to guide me.

I haven't installed our outlet and wire chase yet and am wondering where to best locate it relative to the wall mounting bracket. Is there enough room between the upper and lower horizontal wall brackets to fit a vertically-oriented wall outlet? If not, I can turn the outlet 90 degrees. If it's better to have the wire chase above or below the two horizontal wall brackets for cable management that would be good to know too. For the life of me I can't understand why MantelMount doesn't provide any tips or suggestions on these kinds of details. Thanks for the nice video and description.

what is the overall time to install?

So i am not using a sound bar but my tv from the bracket to the bottom of the is 3 inches. And I want to put pictures on the mantle area about 4 inches height does that mean I need to make the bracket on the wall bottom height be 7 ?

You just showed someone how to install a mantle mount that has hung hundreds of displays! Thanks buddy.
@ancalagon47472 жыл бұрын
Have you mounted a MM540 such that the TV is centered between the ceiling and the mantel? The calculations in the manual to do this don't make sense to me, and tech support says these calculations may be up to 2" off. I'd love advice from someone who has successfully done this. Thanks!

Just bought this and I wanted to know do I have to un mount TV to install my soundbar once I buy one? Or can I just put it in place? Asking because I’m having a pro do it
@ghostlyrich3 жыл бұрын
Should be fine to do after just make sure you tell him the sound bar you will be adding so he leaves enough room for you to pull it down past your mantle if you have one
@jessedallas72703 жыл бұрын
Did the sound bar extenders come with the mount? I'm looking at the part on the website and it looks different. It's called the sbxl. My mount holes are 32" apart
@ghostlyrich3 жыл бұрын
Yes the extensions came with it

Do you think it’s ok to just have the studs on the right side? And have dry wall snaptoggler on the left ?
@ghostlyrich3 жыл бұрын
I would highly not recommend that for this mount it very heavy along with out the tv and the. Having to flex the spring to drop the tv.. it puts allot of strain on the drywall

they have a single stud mounting solution on their site

It’s been a year. How do you feel about leaving the handle off to mount the tv lower? I don’t plan on ever using the fireplace with the tv on, but it looked somewhat awkward seeing you pull down a large tv by its sides instead of a handle. Thanks.
@ghostlyrich3 жыл бұрын
It is 100% awkward without the handle it just depends if you like the look or you can live without the handle
@marcuswaynethomas3 жыл бұрын
@@ghostlyrich Thanks got the reply. I didn’t want to rush the installation, so I slept on it. Finished it last night and ended up installing the handle. Glad I did; not just for myself, but if anyone else wants to lower the tv.
@shsabres3 жыл бұрын
@@marcuswaynethomas did you install it below the soundbar? How exactly?
@marcuswaynethomas3 жыл бұрын
@@shsabres The handle just bolts directly to the provided sound bar’s horizontal bar with provided screws. Installing it is pretty much the last step in the install process, so you could leave it off. I had it mounted as close to the soundbar as possible, but lowered it for practical use. I recommend using the handle; especially with a big tv and soundbar.
@mikeobrien78723 жыл бұрын
Where did you get the tapered shank bolts for the soundbar installation? Thanks
@ghostlyrich3 жыл бұрын
I got it from another soundbar Mount I think the sanus one has it if I remember correctly
@marcuswaynethomas3 жыл бұрын
I’m interested in the size of the bolts you used. I’m about to head to Lowe’s I hopes of finding something similar.
@marcuswaynethomas3 жыл бұрын
For anyone else doing this, I also used a Sony Soundbar. After installing the wall mount adapters, I went to Lowes and purchased a pair of the smallest carriage bolts (1/4x20) and nuts I could find. Good luck.
@matthewclara12 жыл бұрын
It needs the handle, that's too much torque on the TV itself. The TV isn't a handle, for pity's sake. But thanks for the video! Put mine up yesterday.

Nice video! What’s the distance between the lower plate to your mantle? I almost have the same set up as you, my outlet is only 7inches(Ht) from the mantle and not sure if the outlet will be visible when the TV is up.thanks!
@ghostlyrich4 жыл бұрын
I usually just measure the the bottom of the arms that attach to the back of the tv (not the handle or soundbar) to the bottom of the tv sound bar or hand. (Lowest point) if that's let's say 8 inch and your mantel is less than 8 inchs deep then you would mount your mount at 8 inchs up to the bottom. Use the chart like I show in the video and you will be good. Lol
@Chasingwondersfam4 жыл бұрын
@@ghostlyrich yeah I’m aware of the minimum ht fr the chart but my concern is putting it high that the outlet will be visible
