Just bought the Savvy Bridge and Locking Studs for my Gibson Les Paul Junior. Was up half the night trying to figure out why I couldn't adjust the bridge height after trying to tighten the top portion of the locking stud down to the lower half without spinning the lower portion also. (Just as in this video @ 2:20). Maybe not so much why, but how to keep it from spinning, I could see it was going to be an issue when I screwed the lower section in. It fits rather loose. Not that that's a bad thing. With the guitar in your video, the bridge is far enough from the pickup to use your tools for raising and lowering bridge height. With the LP Jr., the pickup is very close to the bridge and the two notches for the adjustment tool are just out of reach of it being a useful tool. The lower section has only two notches for maneuvering with the tool. If you were to provide 4 notches it might be possible to use the tool. 5, or 6 notches would give you plenty of flexibility finding a comfortable holding spot where the bottom section could be secured and the locking top piece could be tightened down. I ended up taking the MCB Studs out and reinstalling the factory studs. This allowed me to see how much I had scratched up the finish under the bridge because of the sharp stamped metal edges on the bottom of the tool. Especially on the 90° bend, (really hard to keep tool up against the bottom of the bridge since it moves up and down at this point. Maybe mask off the area that could be contacted by the tool/wrench. This left me with a pretty canted Bridge, similar to the factory. Possibly more since it seems to want to be further out than the original. The D reads slightly flat and the G reads slightly sharp. I'm guessing if I could use the locking studs and roll the bridge back, it might make the intonation closer. Not that it's far off. Just enough to make chords above the twelfth fret sound, off.

I have a Junior too. 2024 model. Thanks for this write up. I too saw the locking stud still turning in from his marked height and was wondering if anybody would question that. Also I don't want to mark up my Nitro finish either. Did you get any answers or figure out a fix to this issue? I don't want to buy this product and go through all the modification only to find out this issue getting in the way.

@@teleguy5699 The height of the lower portion is adjustable using the lowering and/or raising action tools. The design is pretty damn ingenious.
