Excellent video, step by step. My A7 is exactly the same and the turn signal got vandalised but not the mirror covers. I only needed new turn signal which I got very cheap oem part from eBay. Thanks for instructions. ❤

unfortunately I hit my mirror on the garage door when backing in. I have a 2015 RS7 with the same mirrors but it broke the brackets and clips on the top and bottom mirror covers. So do I need to remove the complete mirror if I need to change the bottom cover as well as the the top?

You made carbon fiber wrapped parts years ago. How durable is that when it's on something? How much scraping can it take?
