How to install new Corbeau front seats in a Foxbody Ford Mustang 1989 LX 5.0 Notchback GT Hatchback

This is a how-to video on installing new Corbeau LG1 racing/pro-touring seats in a Foxbody Mustang this installation is pretty straight forward for all 1979-1993 Mustang LX 5.0, 2.3, GT, Cobra or all four-cylinder or V6 Mustangs. Little tip to those who havent done an install is to remove the factory seats before you install the sliders on the new seats. That way you can check the sliders to make sure the bolts line up, I have run into a few that the sliders are off a little bit and its easier to deal with that before its on the seat.

Man those are very nice, very nice clean ride too,i have a 89 and a 91,my 91 is a daily and has been for maaaaany years which i really should retire,lol, poor thing has served me well,i am looking for some seats for it,about 10 years ago i got rid of my stock ones and bought some seats from Jegs that were really cheap, like 120 bucks each,i have realized over the years not to cheap out on seats, the things have a huge job in your car more than we realize,the jegs seats were a mistake, the drivers side is completely destroyed, looks like a atomic bomb went off in it so i was looking for a video to see what other people have done. These seats look really nice and seem to sit real well also, the seats i got from jegs make you feel like your siting on a throne, lol, waaay too tall, thank you for the video, it gives me a better idea what I'm looking for.

HEY BROTHER DID THESE SEATS RAISE THE SEAT HEIGHT AT ALL WHEN YOU SIT IN THEM OR DO THE SIT LOW, SOME SEATS RAISE THE SITTING POSITION AND SUCKS FOR ME BEING 6.3 ???

These lowered the seating height for sure, probably an inch I'd say.

@@DohsePhotoandDesign working on a 88 lx myself. Someone put sparco racing buckets in it with a rear sear delete one piece fiberglass mold and want the factory 90-91 style buckets

working on 88 gt , put new drivers seat in. car came with 2 passenger seats. Its on my channel the build, mostly getting the car back on road after sitting on my car trailer for 7 years. gave it to my daughter.

Might seem like a dumb question but how do you get the stud for the seat bolt in the front part of the bracket back into the hole in the floor pan? Had someone put on a wrong sized bolt on that stud and it pulled it out of my floor pan and I can’t get the stud to go back into the hole

Sorry it's been so long since I did this I can't help you. I believe that those studs are usually welded to the floor pan. Hope this helps.

how are the seats now since you have gotten some time with them? Worth it? I am thinking about geting some Corbeaus as well, I just don't know which one to get yet

Yeah the seats are awesome and well worth the money they're holding up real well. With that being said I only drive the car about twice a month so I can't say what it's like to daily Drive in them.

Would you be able to fit a LG1 wide? How are seats between the center console frame and the door panel?

Honestly, they are pretty tight in there the wides would likely fit as they are advertised to but It will be tight.

I just put wides in my 85 gt yesterday and they fit proper. Glad my fat ass went with the extra couple inches.
