@@voxxes3931yes I did it just like the video. I think the issue could possibly be that I have a steam library on my C and D drive, and I have phasmo current and the old version on the D drive, so i think it should work, but maybe I need it on my C

My fiancee and I downloaded the same version and could load in but it says fail to load funds. We were able to play a game but once we got to the end, it would not let us hit Next or Skip. Is this normal?

Yeah, I've encountered this issue on newer version aswell. Not sure if it's cloud related, but sometimes is says "failed to load ghost" aswell. Did you try older versions from 2020-2021?

(Old maple lodge campsite is in the 2 first ones) Stable version before the relase of Sunny Meadows, (5466015679443468050) Stable version after the release of Sunny Meadows and custom difficulties, (8108696239169700654) And for nostalgia from 2020, the version insym plays in his streams/videos, (2393199652183266332)

I followed it, used different versions, I know its the version i want because of the old loading screen and lobby, but whenever i get into the lobby the ambience keeps looping and i teleport around the spawn zones as if i keep reloading into the lobby, im not sure if its my computer or im just completely doing something wrong Edit: I fixed it, just needed a patch probably later than september 2020

Yeah, the patch Insym uses is 2393199652183266332 Some people also have issues with the game being stuck on the loading screen, this being caused by not having any previous saveData. (Can be easily fixed by getting a file from someone else.)

That's the error you get when you try to launch it with the executable in the folder. You want to launch it by renaming it to Phasmophobia, then launch it through steam and not the .exe Lmk if this solves the issue.

My friends follow the steps but the game is updated to the most recent version and it seems strange to me because I gave them the AppID Depot ID Manifest ID corresponding to the version that I have (2393199652183266332) ;-; PS: Is there a way to play the first September versions?

The first september releases have many bugs, best thing to do is try them all and pray one works. Tell him the run the updated game once, and then rename it. Once steams sees it as updated, it should run and not prompt any update. I've had that happen to me once, it probably overwrote the old version files. Just redrop the game version in files and it should run.

Old versions of phas didn't register input changes until after you rebooted the game. Make sure it's set to the right input and restart your game, this should fix the issue.

Anything before the new prestige system won't transfer to the old versions and vice versa. You can cheat your levels and money in old version without any repercussions.

Have you ever played the game previously? You also have to make sure to rename the download folder to "Phasmophobia" in order to trick steam into thinking it's installed.

Idk if you're trying to run other games while the download is in progress? Generally it shouldn't fail unless you have an unstable internet connection. If it continues to fail, I can probably just Onedrive you the files of the select manifest you want.

If you rename your current Phasmophobia folder, you can alternate between both easily. Levels and money gained in previous versions won't affect the current version of the game and vice versa.

Takes a while depending on internet speed, I recommend not opening any steam games while it runs to avoid the download failing. I usually just watch youtube or afk and do something else until it finishes.

Some of the first patches in like September aren't stable, therefore they don't run very well. The one insym plays in his videos is one of the 9-30-2020 patches. (2393199652183266332) Try this one out, you'll need to open and close the tutorial to unlock the greyed out play button.

So unfortunately there isn't a ghost, and when i finish a map even in single player it says 'the ghost type is: " but there is no ghost name. I think it is bugged for me. I'm running around talking to myself on an empty map lol. In older versions I get response on the spirit box, but still no ghost and no interactions whatsoever. Do you paste the depot version over the normal game install?

Not sure what version you downloaded, but it might just be a broken patch. If you want to try the version that Insym plays on, you should be able to see if there's a ghost. This is the last patch of September 2020 for reference, download_depot 739360 739631 2393199652183266332 Lmk if this works, also curious to know what manifest you had.

I fixed it by turning cloud saves off on steam, I was trying to delete the newest version's save data but it kept regenerating and it was causing issues with the ghost type lol. It's working now thankfully, but I don't know if I can level up, I'll see.

All manifests work with multiplayer, just gotta find someone who has the same version as you. Best ones to pick are the last patches of a big update or before a big update depending on what version you want to play.

So I found out today with a friend that I can play because I have the old saveData.txt file. It will stay stuck at 90% if you don't have it. If you go to %appdata% in your file explorer, you can go to your LocalLow>Kinetic Games>Phasmphobia and check if you have it, if not I can send you my .txt which will give you like 1000 levels, alot of money and items. With my .txt, you'll be able to play them.

Really depends on internet speed, I don't recommend running anything through steam in the meantime as it floods the commands logs with jargin and might fail the download. I recommend downloading while you afk or watch a few youtube videos on the side.

Your data used to be saved locally, if someone else played on your PC they shared your data. Just need to find an old data file and it should run.
