What's the heater electric draw in watts per hour when running ?
@KiraandtheSurvivalPod4 жыл бұрын
I bought the previous model and haven't installed my battery yet. I should have just waited for this heated model. R E G R E T ! I'll be living in my camper van in sub-freezing temperatures and am probably going to end up with a ton of Lithium Plating (irreversible damage). Oh well...I'll just have to get a heated blanket and build an insulating box around it.

Does the battery BMS control the heater once it's wired in? Meaning, only running the heater if the battery is cold, or does it just run the heater continuously?
@battlebornbatteries Жыл бұрын
The heater will be activated when the internal temperature reaches approximately 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

What is the benefit of the jumper wire? Why not hook up each heater individually? I have 2 in parallel, controlled by The Kid MPPT and a DC load center to 1000 inverter. 300 watt PV

How many milliamps for current drain when on this function?

I am very interested in one of this batteries but now comes the question that I have to have the inverter replaced in my truck camper. I have a camper with an inverter that is not for lithium batteries, and if I connect my lithium battery to it will only charge at 90%. So I will never fully charge the battery giving it longer life and I won't have to replace the inverter. Does that make sense? I would really like not to make changes to my brand new truck camper and not spend more money, just get that led battery out of there and put a clean lithium battery.

I understand all the benefits of your battery..know people swear by them....If and when your Prices come down SUBSTANTIALLY I would love to have them..Until then MY old fashioned Deep Cycle lead acids are fine..The cost of just 2 of your batteries ,I bought solar panels,pure sine inverter, charge controller,the batteries, wiring ETC..plus a 1200 watt generator for back up..My Father was a Journeyman Machinist & Electrician.. He knows all the specifics of my system.. Since the mid 80,s He's had off-grid systems for his campers on his land and at his hunting lodge and grounds..Lead Acid batteries do require a Little Minimal Maintenance... Think of how long a Lead Acid battery lasts in your car you drive regularly..5 years is the average with NO Maintenance.... The thing that kills lead acid batteries is sulfating.... My father simply disconnected the power from his system at his hunting lodge or camp land... He had solar panels wired to the batteries to keep them trickle charged.... Every 3 months or so he would check the fluid levels simply add distilled water if needed.. and he loved checking his batteries with his multimeter... living in the northeast of the United States we are used to having brutal cold Winters.. lead acids have always done us fine..

When you look at calendar/cycle, life/warranty, they are not expensive.

@@billpullen9627 wrong the are way overpriced compared to prismatic lifepo4 battery packs, you can get 3.5 KW for $1000 vs the 1.3 KW battle born is asking.

@@Foxfried I was talking about Battle Born batteries which are cylindrical cells, low temperature protection and a 10 year warranty. And they are only 900 now.

Sorry but how stupid, if you are making a self heating battery it should be automatic based on the temperature, not some jumper shenanigans. Not to mention with prismatic cells coming down in price so much your batteries are severely overpriced now.
@billpullen96274 жыл бұрын
The battery IS automatic based on the temperature. the jumper turns on the automatic heating feature. Think about it, why would you want a battery heating itself if it was in storage for example.
@Foxfried4 жыл бұрын
@@billpullen9627 By your logic every battery is heater automatic, just wrap a heating pad around and turn it on when needed and off when you don't.
