@@Everydayfishing True, but if it's compacted horizontally you have a better chance of shaking it all loose. It's probably a good idea to shake them once in awhile anyway. I would check with the Coast Guard or the Coast Guard Auxiliary to see what they recommend.

when you go and order the steering cable from the website it has various lengths, 13ft, 14ft, 15ft etc. is that the cable length measured from the motor, around the sides of the boat and in towards the console? what happens if it is too long
@Everydayfishing Жыл бұрын
Yes you should take a string or flexible tape and measure the path your steering cable will take, then round up to the nearest measurement. They are pretty rigid, so too much extra would be tough to manage.

You skipped a part I was really trying to hope to see. How did you connect your throttle power cables to your battery but also have all the fuze box and what not off it. The battery must be loaded
@Everydayfishing Жыл бұрын
So there’s only 2 wires connected on each of the battery terminals. One set goes to the outboard, the other goes to the fuse panel. All electrics are then powered by the fuse panel. The only wire for the throttle controls is that thick one that plugs into the wire harness from the outboard. No power directly needed from battery to controls.
@opietaylor57782 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t say it’s a good idea to have your engine running with throttle on the muffs. I could be wrong that’s just what I’ve been told. Very helpful video tho you helped me so I’m trying to help you lol. I guess it burns up the water pump or the engine or something I can’t remember
@Everydayfishing2 ай бұрын
Yeah I wouldn’t recommend running it long… but as long as you are getting enough water in to cool it and you can see a strong discharge, it’s probably safe for short term
