MY PROFILE:
I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn't have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors. Crazy how this whole thing is evolving. A year ago I watched Brandon Lester say that he didn’t see any need for perspective/scout mode and that he had messed with it but never used it. Now I see pros everywhere incorporating it in to their system.

Yeah that 0° mount is so much better than the factory transducer mounts. I find it easier to track the bait like ol boy said. 🤘

I use a fishing specialties pole & transducer mount on my kayak. Their transducer mount is a ram ball connection. So it has infinite adjustment from r forward & perspective. I can change them on the fly for different depths in a few seconds. I use perspective mode in 12-15' of water. Because of how I turn & operate the pole I can also swing it forward & back while in perspective mode. So when I do see something. I know if it's in top,mid or lower collum of water. I do a lot of shallow fishing so I keep mine in perspective mode 75-80 % of the time

Fish Obsessed mount, good choice. That's what I have on my BassCat. Only one 'ducer for me though. 😀 Good choice with the BBT mounts, I drive by their shop every day on my way to, and from, my business.

Does the Fish Obessed mount extend further out than the Garmin mount? In perspective mode, my lvs34 hits the trolling motor mount when I stow the trolling motor. So I’m searching for a mount that sticks out a little further.

Do u think you could mount 2 like this with these mounts and still keep a 360 on the shaft also? I cut 7 inches off my 360 shaft to get it out of the way but I'd like to add another 34 and probably just use 1 12inch unit for both and use them at one time some but sometimes just use the forward but I'd like the ability to use both with the 360. Do you see any interference between the 2 34s?

When you run them both, are you getting interference? I am and can't figure out how to make it stop. It looks like a wave travels across the screen

Do you think you will ever have to take it all that off for tournaments that you fish? I know something is going to happen with the elites or mlf eventually but what about the more local tournaments. I've got mega live, and thought about getting another one for perspective but I am too afraid to spend the money if tournaments start restricting ducers or banning it all together.

I hear ya, I don't have any livescope yet, but if want to keep up in tournaments I have to get it. I only fish team stuff so even if we win it's only $4k 5k for 1st. I'm sure the fishing world is waiting for me to drop $5 to 10k for two Garmins before it gets banned, what do you do?

@@tucowept I'm pretty sure I'm gonna hold off till next year, I really feel like things will change in the bigger leagues that will trickle down to the smaller tournaments... even if it's just restricting it to one... idk though but it's hard to spend that kind of money knowing there's is so much heat on it right now... and if it is restricted to just one live ducer there's gonna be a pile of them on ebay for cheap...

@todd - Does those TD cables being paralleled together like that cause any interference at all?

They're all shielded, so why would they?

@@helotaxi was just curious if it did, they said there was interference too close to the trolling motor so wasn’t sure if the voltage caused interference putting them together parallel like that. I’m sure it doesn’t but was just curious.

I want to run mega live in landscape mode and garmin LVS34 ffs both on my trolling motor shaft. Which one is on bottom

LVS-34 on the bottom so it does not have a transducer below it that will block images straight below the trolling motor

So a little off topic but if you can have one would you get ffs or 360? I do not trny fish anymore but still feel behind the eight ball for some reason or another....
