My Shoei came with one and I didn't put it on for the first few weeks and always had to crack the visor in the morning. Was surprised how effective it was once I did put it on along with a transitions shield. Transitions with pinlock is definitely the way to go.

I have this in my helmet and I recommend gloves to install, fingerprints will stick lol. But I highly recommend this out of everyone I know who rides mines the only one that doesn't fog up and I love it.

The only pinlock inserts I can find for my helmet cost over 30 dollars and they want over 20 for shipping it came out to be just less than half what I paid for the helmet. For a clear piece of plastic.

I had one on my HJC (my first helmet) for like a year and it was fine that entire time. Had one on my Shoei RF-1200 for a long time also, maybe like 6-7 months with no issues.

Personally, I think these are s***. They scratch if you look at them sideways. There is no good way to clean them, and yeah they get dirty. On the inside of the helmet. Will never use again. I just sprayed the inside with anti-fog and works way better than these things. Seriously, could you have made it out of a more fragile, soft material?

Yes. Here's why! Foggy visor impedes the ability to see. Thus not being able to see chicks, or safely get to your destination. What's your destination? Who knows, maybe a ladies night somewhere. INSERT PINLOCK, fogs worst enemy! Now you are able to see, thus being able to get safely to said destination. On the way there, you *see* a chick! "Hey, want a ride on my motorcycle?" you say, as you give it some revs b/c everyone knows that's what really impresses the chicks. She replies, "Wow, nice revs! Also, your visor sure is fog-free, which means I can trust that you're safe and can see the road. I'd love to ride with you! Want to go to ladies night?" Voila. Pinlock means you gets the chicks.
