How to Install Prehung Exterior Entry Door

Why does it seem like the door has been installed backwards as the hinges should be on the inside of the house so that someone can not just tap out hinge pin and take the door off and get into house ?

There are actually two different styles. There are doors that swing outside for different reasons. They won’t swing into the house and affect the flow of the entry way. Tornado and hurricane areas use these allot because it is nearly impossible to blow a door open the wrong way. Also, it prevents break ins. You can’t kick a door open when your kicking into the jamb. Same concept for tornadoes and hurricanes. Can’t blow a door open through the jamb. All outswinging doors have special hinges that you cannot take apart. Non removable pins. You have to open the door to take the hinges off, or make a whole lot of noise with power tools.
