This was super helpful. I was able to install a boss stereo in my sons 2007 Grand Prix. His has a CarPlay usb dongle a microphone. I drilled a hole through the top of the plastic compartment on the bottom of the dashboard “stack” and fed the singles through there. Works great.

I’m installing into my 07 Grand Prix monsoon system. When taking out the factory deck, I found two connectors plus the antenna connector. What is the smaller connector for? I can’t find any information on the Internet or any videos that specifically talk about those.

I bought a 04 Grand Prix with no stereo. Just a cut harness. I tried to hard wire an aftermarket stereo but it doesn’t turn on. (I know The stereo is good) I tried to find the 12v powers but I couldn’t find it. I tested every single wire and didn’t find 12 volts ,just 4 grounds. Am I missing something? How can I install it the way it is??? Any ideas? I don’t even know what all those wires are. Why did you have to run a wire from the fuse box to the stereo?

The big orange wire is 12vt constant wire you will need to run the accessory wire to the fuse

I ran the yellow and red from the radio to a fuse so it still shuts off when ur key off and open the door aswell

Check your fuse!!!

Your stereo yellow should stay 12vt all time, and the red wire should be on or at 12vt when the key is turned to on position if not try to put the red to the yellow wire

You can but you will have to buy a steering wheel control made by PAc or Axxess
