What did you use to secure the siding? nails, screws

Curious, did you cut the tongue off the last piece to get it in there? And, if replacing a bottom few pieces, how hard would it be to go backwards, from top ( where it ties into existing), to the bottom?

Some say don't nail the face, I say you need to to prevent warping of the wood. If you only nail the tongue you will get warping in years time. When the moisture gets in your installation will be a call back from the home owner.

Why put house wrap on one small section.... there is absolutely no point. Not trying to be rude I just can’t comprehend why you’d do that unless it’s some silly code

I assumed that they tore it getting the old siding off but then your correct no point in installing it like that. They should have cut the existing house wrap across a few inches under the top row they had off and slid it under and then over the rest. If it gets behind the siding above where they replaced it, its just going to run behind what they just installed but I like the 45 cuts. That was a good idea.
