My rear speakers in my 2008 CR-V sound like they're half connected. People have said the wiring harness gets crusty and soldering the wires straight to the speaker is the fix. Any thoughts?

I was about to replace my speakers and thinking of buying the harness adapters. After reading your comment, I think I'll just solder directly to the speaker, then cover with shrink tubing to avoid this issue. I know this can happen with moisture/condensation coming in contact with the conductors over time, especially on dissimilar metals which could be used in the harness adapters. The wire hangs in a loop in the door and the water drips down right onto those crimp connections in the harness.
