Unfortunately there are about 5 parts (level, drill bit, angler, extenders, and more) referenced which didn't come with my Ring that I just purchased new. Needless to say the instructions don't match what I have to do. That said the video is still helpful.

You don’t need to wire it. The wires don’t power the doorbell. The power just helps recharge the battery that is included. If you don’t have wires then it will run 100% on the battery that online needs to be recharged every 6 months to a year based upon your sensitivity settings. If your motion detector is set high it will turn on more often which means you will have to recharge more often. The battery takes 5-10 hours to recharge.

This is de doorbell that decides who’s welcome and who’s not. Sometimes it works, some times it doesn’t, even though in my case it’s just a foot away from an accespoint and connected to AC power. Sometimes you discover it crashed a week ago and needs a firmware update and sometimes the app notifies you a few minutes too late. Get a device that operates on your local network instead, you’ll be better off.

For optimum motion detection, you may check the motion settings and check the speed of your current WiFi network. If youre ring doorbell is over 15 away from the router , you may be needing a chime pro WiFi extender.

The one that's supplying power to the cable that's going into the doorbell. Best to follow the safe isolation procedure before working on the circuit. If you're not 100% sure that there's no power going to the cable, don't work on it.

I remember reading about Ring being associated with the police to “help” track/catch criminals. 🤥🤥🤥 If I’m not mistaken, some cities are trying to get folks to sign up with the city, sorta like they did with alarm systems back in the late 80’s early to mid 90’s. When they decided that if you’re not registered with the city they didn’t respond to the alarm.
