That inner bolt sticking up near the cv boot, seems a bit sketchy, seems like it'll come into contact and possibly rip that boot. Is it possible to find a way to put the bolt from top down.

Read my mind... A pan head bolt facing down would be ideal, but any excess of that bolt sticking downward could easily be sheared off on a rock. Would love to have these if someone could come up with a solid solution.

We thought the same but we've LCA skids (diff brands & these) on for over a year and the boot doesn't have a single scratch on them

I retro fit the bolt and added a lock washer and thread locker and acorn nut.
