Not really, you have to mostly work from one side though. These go on MUCH easier with people. One holding it properly in place while the other attaches it. It takes a lot more adjusting if done alone.

Removing this clips does help a lot but even following the video it was still difficult to line everything up without parts going into misalignment or wobbling, etc. I thing I had to install it several time before it was steady and mostly centered. The new cable has much smaller plugs and no magnet is needed now. It has built-in sensors that detect the angle now. The lights now also flash a rainbow pattern once a new pattern is successfully downloaded. The software is still bad. It barely works.
