Thanks for the video, looks like a pretty straightforward install. Do you have a way to compare it to the Navitas 5kw kit? Specifically I'm interested in acceleration. With the settings maxed for acceleration which kit is faster with other factors being equal. I'm going to buy one of them soon, any info is appreciated.

I mean its great that your wanting to test it a little bit before the opinion review but it's summer time it's time to ride! I ordered a 5kw kit from plum quick and will ship out Friday but deciding if I should cancel because this is a 9kw kit vs 5kw kit, plus a 840amp controller vs 600amp controller. I would assume this kit is overall better, cheaper and more room for speed in the future?

First, I’ll say I’ve watched several of your videos and I think what you’re doing is great. I have learned quite a bit about the aftermarket golf cart world from you and to let you know how much I appreciate that information. My question is I have a G29 with a Ultrex SR48400 controller, and a 8 hp D&D motor, I believe I did something stupid and messed up my controller. If you had the choice to get one system, would it be Navitas 5 kW or the Teekon silver wolf. I’ve started building my own lithium packs and have enough 60AH cells to run a house or about 10 golf carts, so the battery will be whatever will work best for the system.

This is a good kit, However if you are wanting low end torque to pop wheelies then this isnt the kit for you. This is quicker than navitas though. I'm in the process of doing the alltrax ac1 conversion video hopefully coming up this weekend. Cant wait to see how that goes and I have a discount code to offer for it from alltrax. But the silverwolf kit has great mid range torque!

Definitely let us know how it slows going up hills. I know that you live in SC and don’t have much hills to test on but I live in East Tennessee and have some good hills that I need to climb. Also if you can try out different settings on the regeneration breaking to see what’s a good setting for slowing it down going down the hills. Maybe put some weight on it like a 1,000 pounds and that might give idea for us with three or four adults and lead batteries. I know I’m asking a lot but I need as much information that you can get before I put down the money. Thanks man!

So ive watched your videos on the silverwolf and the navitas system. Seems like you went back to the navitas on your cart. Is this your prefered unit, was inteested in buying a silverfox unit but wondering if it isnt as good of a unit.
@Fentertainment Жыл бұрын
I still have it, Its on a cart that I started to build for my wife but has been on the back burner for so long. If youre looking for torque or doing wheelies then the navitas is the way to go. IF you are looking for range or a quicker system then the silverwolf is what I would recommend. The pmac really delivers when it comes to distance between charges. It should be back on the channel soon.

I have another cart its going on. I hate selling used equipment. It always cost more to replace it than it is to just reuse it.
@Just-A-Guy-Learning6 ай бұрын
Changing the wheel size will give you more speed. The controller thinks it's going slower than it actually is. You could also flash a regular bac8000 with vesc firmware and use field weakening to get even more speed. As well as more amps. But the motor can only take so much so it's at owners risk. It's also dangerous to go extremely fast in a narrow wheel base vehicle. If you take it to the extremes then take the appropriate precautions.

It’s actually more efficient and quicker than my navitas 5kw 600a system. It doesn’t have the same low end torque but has mid range torque. I have it on my wife’s cart now. It doesn’t have the otf remote either. But I have it set to her liking and it’s good. It’ll do 42 on 48v.

Ryan, you said to connect the charger negative to the controller. Do you have the charger positive connected to the controller also? I'm having trouble with my lithium conversion on my CC DS. It will not move after installing the battery and bypassing/removing the OBC. The solenoid does not click either. So, could use your expertise to help me figure it out. I connected my charger negative and positives to the respective lithium battery terminals.
@Fentertainment2 жыл бұрын
The battery positive will connect to the solenoid either side, The other side of the solenoid will connect to the controller, The controller negative will connect to the battery and the negative of the battery charger. You need to connect the battery side of solenoid to the charger also.
