Owais, Congratulations on PV extension, one thing I like about your videos are they are very succinct! I do have an observation though which I would like to share. Every installer that you talk to these days will tell you to go for a bigger capacity inverter, I tend to disagree with this approach for two reasons; Your inverter will always be running under capacity to your PV load e.g. 10kw panels will be producing 7.5-8.5 kw on a good day way under max capacity of 12.5kw so why overkill. Secondly, warranty of an inverter and payback of Solar is almost 5 years. With void warranty and technological advancement after 5 years it makes perfect sense to go for a new inverter rather adding PV strings to an onversized inverter. Just my two cents worth on this...

I recently engaged turmaz energy after watching this informative video here is my experience 1. They took 90% advance 2. Changed terms and conditions of the final agreement and deleted the timelines given in their written proposal. 3. Promised to start work more than 10 times but like any other company never fulfilled commitment, would stop picking calls and then tell a lame excuse. 4.20 days and dozens of promises after the advance only panels are installed and no wiring and inverter installation. 5. Quality of structure is not what was decided. 6. After structure installation team left without concrete work. And returned after 1 week and 3 rains. I would never recommend this company to a friend and regret paying max payment in advance

I wanted to ask you if you have ever installed a sprinkler system on your solar panels for washing them automatically? I have done that and it helps keep your panels clean all the time. I live in Karachi and there is hardly any rain so the panel gets dirty within a few weeks. Great explanation. One small question. Your inverter has an input current of 11A per MPPT. How much current (A) are your panels rated for? If there’s a discrepancy, isn’t it introducing inefficiencies?

I assume that your present system do not have battery backup - two years ago i helped an eduction institute to install 15 kw system with battery backup after two years the batteries needed replacement - connection with grid net is not possible - kindly suggest what battery back alternative i should consider to upgrade the system which will be cost effective in long run

Your mppt charge controllers max current is 11 A.While you have installed solar panels of 13.27 A .A 450 watt panel is the max you should install on this partcular model.Awesome video by the way,keep it up.

Depends on case by case basis reg. structure. Only Jinko and Jolywood have N type in Pakistan so far

do not do this, you also need to consider temperature coefficient in account, higher voltage will blow you mppt. there is reason behind an overhead in inverter. they will always be running under capacity but that one time surge in voltage and current on a very cold winter morning with great sunlight since all the humidity was dropped in night will produce higher voltage than your mppt can handle. in summers your inverter will always be working under capacity, but that's a also a good thing since it wont be overheating.

These solar inverters specially hybrid solar inverters that are made in china should not be operated on full capacity it decreses the inverter life. If you have an inverter of 10kw 8nstal 10kw pv so that it generates 8kw to 8.5lw it increases the life of the component6of inverter
