It's so you can control the dryer from the washing machines control pad. As the dryer controls will be very high off the ground.

It doesnt make sense to have the dryer on top when the heavy and wet clothes would be FAR easier to load if it were on the bottom. Very strange...

I hope you're kidding. The dryer always needs to be on top, for stability and a ton of reasons.

@ResumenExpress I'm thinking about for ease of access and for making heavy wet clothes be easier to move from.the water to the dryer. Stability has nothing to do with it since it can be secured to a wall or a custom cabinet type of deal.

@@CaramelColored put it on a custom cabinet, it will crack the cabinet if starts shaking. Besides, it increases several pounds when filled with water, so it's better to have the dryer on top I suggest to do what I did, both at eye-level side by side

@@ResumenExpress It will not crack a cabinet if it is made correctly and actually attached to the wall. It also will never shake if loaded correctly and properly maintained.
