How to install the A/C Connect for Coleman Mach

I am going to install these on my Penguins when available. I have spent countless hours improving my AC systems. As well as making my own intake mufflers before the Wakos came out. Mine were a couple of DB quieter but not nearly as neat looking and the filter they provide is the best I have found. Cleaning up the poorly installed ceiling vents and making my own Pyramid of sorts on the output of the AC going into the ductwork made a significant improvement in air flow. As fot the divider they are recommending be removed, I cannot see a reason to do that other than it makes installation easier. The device might reduce the noise a db or two as well. One could add some insulation around the device before reinstalling the cover. I am waiting with bait on my breath. What a neat product. Can recommed another product as well since you have the mfgr ability. Make a plug for the intake that can be used from the roof access. Plug the intake so the condenser can be rinsed and water will not pour in. Just a thought but I would buy those for sure.

Couldn’t get it to fit in my Coleman Mach 10 Q with the 12x12 filter, it might if you didn’t need to reinstall the plastic piece that the filter fits into.

My motorhome has the Coleman Mach 15 with the heat pump. Will this also improve the heat efficiency when it's in heat mode or will it hinder it?

I just received this product and it doesn't fit. The website isn't super helpful in determining if this will fit my Coleman Mach ac unit. The square opening is a little large and the ports don't reach on one side and they don't seem to be a proper fit into the vent holes. Help! It's supposed to be 110⁰ next week and I need every bit of cold air I can get.

Thats all good but if youre down south you cant have air just going throufh the ducts ot will heat up

Is there a reason for not reinstalling the chute and divider? Does it hinder the system to work efficiently with those items reinstalled? Unfortunately I did not watch the video before installing because it was pretty straight forward. I did not have any issues reinstalling the chute and divider on my Mach Q. Wondering if I really need to take it apart again to remove. Thank you.

Hi Daniel! Great question. There is a benefit to removing the chute in that it allows more air to flow into the warm air intake more easily. But is it necessary to remove the chute? No. Your system will function just fine with it in place. Stay Kool!

@@danielnyberg23 Theoretically, yes. There would be less restriction on the air intake making it easier for the AC to pull air in, therefore easier to push air out. Will it be a large amount of difference? No. That is primarily driven by the direct connection from the AC to the ducts, but it will help.

I sent you guys a message I have Mach air in my unit but the interior piece isn’t the same it’s the older one with just one piece that comes down in the front for the filter, yet I have two rows of ducts… will this work?

It can as long as your plenum is not under 4” in height.

I received this product today, and twenty minutes later it was installed working great. Following the installation, depending on the duct placement, I recorded an 18 to 44 percent increase in airflow. Thank you for a very efficient product.

I wish I had found this product yesterday, I just ordered the competitors Styrofoam block at $265 Canadian. I am torn between the 2 designs , I see pro's and con's to both. Pro for this install VERY quick and easy, Cheaper than the foam block and no need to take the retaining ring out like the other style. You are able to visually confirm all of the fan air is going directly into the duct holes since it's direct plug and play into the duct. The con to this would be sound deadening, I see the foam block as an added layer of insulation which will probably quiet down the whole AC system better. Since the only ducted AC unit in my 3 unit coach is the bedroom I would like it to be as quiet as possible. Over all with everything you have to look at with price and functionality I would have purchased this device and gave it a try. If I had needed more devices I was going to order them slowly so that I don't get sticker shocked right away. Fortunately for me the other 2 systems don't have ducts, unfortunately I won't be able to test out this device. Good luck and happy Glamping!

LOL!!I spent ALL AFTERNOON on "rv flow" 200 dollar nightmare piece of foam,trying to line up duct holes and THEN trying to get that last 8 inch bolt in and ON AND ON.....THIS is the way to go!!THIS is AWESOME,ya'll!!I'm ordering this right now,i KNOW ya'll nailed it on this one after dealing with your "competitors"....i could sell AND install these,no problem!That would be really great side cash if ya'll do that sort of thing!....from Texas!(108 degrees today)...Brent

Just to be clear, this mod will push air into the ducts only. The air that comes out of the vents in bottom of the unit will no longer be there, correct?

You are correct. Our system is designed to more efficiently direct air through your ducts. This pushes the air through your rig and away from your warm air intake. The dump exits right next to the warm air return so a lot of efficiency is lost because that cold air is immediately recycled. Our system allows the warmest air to be pulled through the AC while distributing it more efficiently and effectively through your rig, resulting in a cooler overall RV.
